The philosophy of Gateway is based on the fundamental belief that people with a learning disability have the same rights as other members of society including for example -

• The right to make decisions and exercise choice.
• The right to retain individuality.
• The right to form relationships, and like everyone of us.
• The right to take risks and make mistakes.
